We own at SDO and this is our first stay in a Starwood property at WKOVN. Went to an owner update for the 6k Star Points. This was the best sales presentation we have ever been to. The salesperson knew right away that we bought resale so dispensed with the normal fluff. First he asked if we had any questions and I asked some. He also tailored the presentation to someone who knew about the resale market. I thought was very smart.
1. I verified for my own mind that Nanea is voluntarily. Which makes it less appealing to a buyer in the know.
2. The area between North and Nanea is going to be a beach park like the one north of Honua Kai and south of South.
3. At first I was offered a requal based upon my 2 bd SDO giving us 148K SO. After checking on something he came back and offered us a trade in of our SDO. I suspect that he found out that our SDO was only worth 81K SO.
4. Nanea is going to have 2 & 3 bd OF. The rest of the property is 1 and 2 bd they are not differentiating between ocean view and island view.
5. Since Nanea has no lockoff he offered up a 1 bd at $31K with $10K back for our SDO.

Turned it down. Then the closer came in an wanted to verify that there was no pressure. What a difference from Wyndham.
