What to do with about 900 brand new holiday cards yay

My mother-in-law, age 99, and sister-in-law, age 65, both had to be admitted to nursing homes in the past two years, and neither are likely to ever return home. My SIL was on dialysis for 3 years and last year had a massive stroke. My dear husband visits both of them everyday.

We spent numerous hours cleaning out and surrendering their apartments, and then brought tons of bags of their belongings to our home to sort out. Much was donated to charities.

We now have their 1,000 Plus holiday greeting cards, unopened and in pristine condition, which they had purchased prior to becoming disabled. Neither Mom nor Sis are able to use them now. Of course we will help them send cards to there friends.

But can anyone suggest a charity or organization that could make good use of them. I brought a bag of them to a Salvation Army thrift store and the attendant reluctantly took them. When I came back a week later, I saw that they were removed from their envelopes and scattered all over the counter and on the floor.

Well at least we will be set for life from having to purchase greeting cards.
