This last May, we spent a week at the Marriott Aruba Surf Club (MSU), in a 2-BDRM. We are now into our second week at the Marriott Maui Ocean Club (MOC), Lanai tower, also in a 2-BDRM.
The units are very similar, both with full kitchens and W/D. MOC is a little bigger overall: kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom, bathroom, and lanai, but both very comfortable. The grounds at MOC are also larger, with more towers, more pools, a longer beach, nicer water, but no lazy river.
When rating Maui to Aruba, along with MOC vs MSU, Maui wins hands down. :D
1. More things to do.
2. Larger island
3. Better weather
4. Feels like home
5. Better beaches
6. Better diving, both SCUBA & snorkel
7. Better resources for food, including Costco & Foodland
8. Rental cars are cheaper and less hassles
9. No problems with debit cards in Hawaii
I luv Hawaii. :D
