Ebay purchase of Sheraton Mt. Vista from Legacy Adventure/Leisure Getaways

lundi 7 décembre 2015

A family member completed a purchase of a 2 bedroom EOY Sheraton Mt. Vista from Legacy Adventures/Leisure Getaways. Closing was completed a month or two ago, and then he found out that the posting on Ebay was inaccurate. It stated the maintenance fee, which was in the $700's, was EOY, the same as usage. After closing, the resort said it was actually due every year.

He has contacted but not heard back from the Ebay seller (Legacy Adventures/Leisure Getaways). He has a printout of the eBay listing with the inaccurate information.

What is your advice on how to proceed? He does not want to keep the timeshare, as what was listed was not a true representation of the maintenance fee. What is the best option to get out of this purchase? What obligation does the closing company have to ensure that the information presented was correct? He is trying to determine whether the best course of action is working through the eBay seller, the closing company, or the resort.

Thanks in advance for your help.
