Hoping I have found a site that can help me...
I purchased a timeshare back in 2009 through Butlins in the UK using the points system. We have used our yearly points allocations to enjoy many holidays at Butlins over the past 6 years.
We are now looking to use the timeshare points further afield in Florida through RCI. I have been registered with RCI since 2009, using their website to check my points balance and browse the holiday directory, but have never used them to book a holiday as I always book our holidays directly through our resort Butlins.
Looking into booking a holiday in Florida through RCI I have come across their membership fees, but I am confused as it seems to read like I should have been paying these fees since I signed up in 2009, is this correct? I assumed I only had to pay a membership fee for RCI if I wanted to exchange to go somewhere else not pay membership fees to stay at Butlins, is my thinking correct? Or am I due a back payment bill of 6 years of membership fees?
